California Western invites you to join the Castetter Legacy Society. By including California Western in your estate plan, you will help ensure that for generations to come, California Western will build on its mission to train ethical, competent, and compassionate lawyers, representative of our diverse society, who can use the law effectively and creatively.

Establishing Your Legacy at California Western

The Castetter Legacy Society is named for the late Dean Robert Castetter, the law school’s longest-serving leader, who guided California Western through some of the most transformational chapters in its history. In the spirit of the late Dean, members of the Castetter Legacy Society are a special group of individuals whose visionary philanthropy will have a lasting impact on the law school and our students.

As a Castetter Society member, you will be publicly recognized for your generous foresight in making a deferred gift. You will also be recognized as part of the Castetter Commitment—a special pledge by alumni and friends whose legacies will be publicly linked by name to that of the late Dean over the course of the Centennial Campaign for California Western, which celebrates the law school’s 100th anniversary and culminates in 2025.

Legacy Society Events and Recognition

As a member of the Castetter Legacy Society, you will be recognized on California Western’s website and on the donor wall in the lobby of the law school’s main building. You will be invited to our annual members-only celebration, hosted by Dean Sean Scott, with an opportunity to meet some of California Western’s most promising students and star faculty. You will also have special access to select campus events or activities that may be of particular interest to Castetter Legacy Society members.
